ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ’s School of Nursing houses both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Our undergraduate programs prepare students to respond to the dynamic healthcare needs of a diverse population. Our graduate programs assist students in expanding their capacity to diagnose and treat individuals, educating the next generation of nurses, or becoming healthcare leaders.

Welcome to ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ’s School of Nursing. As the Inaugural Dean, I am excited to welcome you on your journey to and through the profession of nursing! We take pride in our ability to provide an academic milieu where students can learn, grow, and advance in nursing. The interdisciplinary Clinical Simulation & Learning Lab, a 12,000 square foot facility dedicated to hands-on training in the health professions, teaches future nurses how to get the job done using state-of-the-art technology.

Patricia Sutton

Faculty Spotlight

Professor Sutton provides direct instruction for nursing courses in the Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing Programs. She serves the college through various committees, including Faculty Association, Executive Board, Graduate Curriculum Committee, and Assessment Coordinator for the School of Nursing. Collaborate with faculty to improve student learning outcomes by evaluating and revising the program curriculum and individual courses. She provides mentorship to new faculty and graduate students pursuing a degree in Nursing Education. She participates with the Saturday STEM Academy, giving instruction on Basic Health Care to middle and high school students at ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ and in Cameroon, Africa.

Lowellyn Noche

Student Spotlight

Lowellyn "Low" Noche is currently in her 3rd semester of the accelerated nursing program here at ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ. She earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology at Binghamton University in 2022. Her potential fields of interests in nursing are psychiatric nursing, or nursing, and labor & delivery. In her free time, she likes to read thriller books, look for new music, and hit the gym.

Sindy Louisma

Staff Spotlight

As the leader of community health in nursing clinical operations at ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ, Sindy identifies clinical sites where nursing students can complete their required hours. Nursing extends beyond traditional roles in medical-surgical units; it involves educating the community about health disparities and fostering leadership that adapts to evolving policies and procedures. Additionally, she facilitates the Health Equity Influencers Program (HEIP), inspired by Dr. Kenya Beard, to address asthma initiatives and raise awareness of health disparities within our community.

    Kevin Davis Nurs Alum

    Kevin Davis (CNR SON’17) graduated with a DNP from Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia in December of 2024, and passed his CRNA certification in Feb of 2025. Dr. Davis is now working as Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at NY Presbyterian in White Plains.

     

    Amrat

    Amrit Munir (Mercy SON’23) has been accepted to NYU for the DNP program and will begin in September 2025. She is currently a Registered Nurse at Montefiore Medical Center working in Neurology.
